Juicing Recipes

I like to try new juice recipes. Although, I'm sorry to day that I have yet to try a vegetable one!

Our Breville Juicer
This is the Breville Juice Fountain Plus model JE98XL

We got our juicer about a year ago, and we use it just about every day. I have found some really yummy juice concoctions since we started juicing, so I thought I'd add them here. This first one is by far our favorite, and my husband came up with the name. I'll be adding more recipes shortly!

The amount of people you're serving, and what type of juicer you're using will determine how much fruit you need. I have a Breville Juice Fountain Plus which is centrifugal. A lot of juice is wasted with a centrifugal machine, so I probably need more fruit than someone who uses a masticating juicer.  Please keep this in mind when trying these recipes. I've listed the ingredients with the proportions I use.

Dragon Juice

Ingredients

5 to 10 Large Navel Oranges
1 or 2 Bundles of Red Seedless Grapes
1 to 2 Mangoes

Directions

  1. Peel the oranges and the mangoes. I prefer my mangoes green and firm. They are actually much easier to juice that way using a centrifugal juicer, but they also don't have as much juice. Because of this I end up using more than I probably need.
  2. Juice the fruit. Grapes are really hard to juice using a centrifugal machine. I recommend sandwiching the grapes between oranges.
